LED Shaft lighting pre-configured
The innovative LED shaft lighting consists of a robust PVC light strip and a 10 m permanently attached power supply cord. There is a flexible PCB fitted with 60 LEDs per metre which have a especially high luminance on the inside of the semicircular transparent PVC strip. The LEDs have a large beam width, which contributes to good illumination of the shaft and at the same time reduces dazzling of the eyes when looking at them directly.
When it is used in a lift shaft, the light strip extends in one piece from the shaft ceiling to the bottom of the shaft pit. In this regard the LED shaft lighting meets the requirements of protection class lP65. The advantage of the LED shaft lighting is that no connection pieces are needed. Thereof error sources and the formation of loop resistance can be avoided. Another advantage of LED shaft lighting is the equal illumination of the entire shaft without horizontal shadow formation. The LED shaft lighting is also sufficient for shafts with large size of floor space, such as lifts for more than 20 people.
The attachment to the shaft wall is very easy and extremely fast especially by using the dowels which are included. The light strip, using the including dowels, projects only about 15 mm and is therefore also suitable for very narrow lift shafts. It is preferred to install the strip from the shaft top downwards to the shaft bottom. This has the advantage that the light band becomes its own plumb line so that it is easy to attach to the wall vertically. It is recommended to have a dowel distance of about 2 m.
Electrical connection is achieved by insertion of an Euro plug in a standard 230 V AC socket – no need of the special knowledge of an electrician. The 10 m power supply cord has to be installed according to the structural circumstances, shortened if necessary and connected for the final mounting. With 115 g per metre the light strip is lighter than any other shaft lighting system. The complete shaft lighting for a 25 m shaft weighs only about 4 kg including the power supply cord. This permits very easy handling, from the manufacture and transport all the way to the mounting. Lengths up to 50m are possible with one strip. For a length customised configuration of the LED shaft lighting system only the shaft depth is needed.
The design is providing a new technical innovation. Additionally, it is very attractive in glazed shafts. The new DEKRA-tested shaft lighting system easy connect LED can also be combined with the well-known pit-bottom-box and machine room control box. All certificates needed, such as CE, RoHS and EN 81 compliance declaration are already available.
