13. Control units and switches

Main characteristics of control units and switches according to EN81-20

Following equipment must be available in the pit:

1. An inspection control must be permanently available in the pit (in addition to a control box on the cabin roof)

2. An emergency braking switch has to be accessible from the lowest landing level door as well as from the pit floor.

3. An outlet (directly fed)

4. A device for switching the shaft lighting from every landing door.

5. An audíble and flashing warning system.
